The Christian Cynic is a blog about deconstruction – sometimes in the linguistic sense, sometimes down to syllogisms and propositions, sometimes more broadly to belief systems. Whatever it is, this blog attempts to rip it apart and examine the shreds (albeit as much as possible in the context of the whole).
This blog is a testament to a balanced cynicism, one which, contrary to popular opinion, upholds sound principles of reason but maintains a critical look at the world and how people purport to describe it. This blog attempts to show how a critical attitude is not only useful but necessary for a healthy outlook of the world, while recognizing the epistemic limits that come with one’s humanity.
We welcome discussion on the topics of language/linguistics, theology, philosophy, logic, religion, culture, literature, and other topics as we see fit.
